About Yisel
Yisel Tejeda is an Emmy Nominated, dynamic, bilingual journalist. Yisel is a first-generation Hispanic American born to Dominican parents in Brooklyn, New York.
Yisel's on-screen experience began while she was a college student at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida. After hosting a modeling special for a local Spanish broadcasting station, Yisel was offered a position as a co-host on what would become the first entertainment show in Central Florida: Entre Nos.
Upon graduating UCF with a Bachelor’s in
Radio/Television, Yisel joined the newscast of Univision Tampa Bay as
reporter and anchor. In this position, she covered local and national news
events such as the 2012 Republican National Convention and the 2012
Presidential Elections.
Subsequently, Yisel
joined the newscast of Bright House Network's Spanish and English
broadcast news stations, Infomas & Baynews9, as reporter, anchor and
producer. In this capacity, she reported on a wide range of issues including immigration,
politics, and social issues affecting the local community.
Yisel now joins the award-winning newscast of
Univision 41, New York as an Investigative Reporter. Yisel is passionate about the
news, keeping her community informed and helping others.
During her time off,
she loves to read self-improvement books, write on her blog at YiselTejeda.com,
give advice to students about their career goals, and most importantly, spend
time with her family.

Yisel llega a Noticias
Univision 41 tras desempeñarse como reportera, presentadora y
productora para InfoMás en St.
Petersburg, Florida. Al ser bilingüe, también hizo reportajes en inglés
para la estación hermana- Baynews 9. Durante su tiempo
en InfoMás, le toco cubrir una amplia gama de temas así como
inmigración, elecciones, política, al igual que temas sociales. También
entrevistó al presidente del Comité Nacional
Republicano Reince Priebus sobre la importancia del voto
hispano.
Previo a su labor
en InfoMás, Yisel trabajó como reportera y presentadora
en Univision Tampa Bay donde también cubrió noticias
de alto perfil así como la Convención Nacional Republicana al igual que las
Elecciones Presidenciales del 2012.
Sin embargo, su trabajo frente a las cámaras no comenzó ahí. Mientras terminaba sus estudios universitarios, Yisel asumió la gran responsabilidad de presentar y producir el único programa de entrenamiento del centro de la Florida: Entre Nos para Telemundo Orlando.
Yisel se considera una mujer
apasionada por su carrera y está empeñada en que los hispanos comprendan
la necesidad de superarse y que crean en sí mismos ya que piensa que
de no ser así, la vida no sería más que un triste trayecto.
En su tiempo de descanso, a
Yisel le encanta leer libros de superación, escribir en su blog Yiseltejeda.com, ver películas, aconsejar a estudiantes sobre sus metas, y
sobre todo compartir con su familia.
