Bollywood is coming to town! This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Indian cinema mega stars: Priyanka Chopra and Anil Kappor. Both joined the International Indian Academy or IIFA in a 3 day tour to talk Bollywood.
"Our movies are about music, celebration, colors, and lights. It is like a big show," says Priyanka, former Miss World and she recently worked on a music video with Mr. 305: Pitbull....DALE!
Anil Kapoor, who we've seen in movies like Slumdog Millionaire tells us that the awards will exceed expectations. "Whatever they expect it will be much more. Much more than what they expect, and I promise you it will be there monies
worth, and it will be an experience for them."
The kick-start events began in L.A, they stoped here in Tampa, and the last stop was New York City. The Tampa event included colorful
performances and presentations to introduce what many describe as a 3 day
spectacular.
The awards weekend will be huge for the city of Tampa. It is the first time they hold them in the U.S.
The event will take place from April 24-26. Some of the prime spots to the show are over $3,000 bucks.. Yup, the cheapest are around $93.. Yeah, I know a lot of money, but hey it looks like it will be worth it.
